The American Drentsche Patrijshond Association (ADPA) was founded in early 2024 by a group of Drent owners, enthusiasts, and breeders dedicated to the preservation and advancement of this rare breed in America.

Promote the preservation and advancement of the Drentsche Patrijshond as a versatile field, farm, and family dog in America, with a focus on benevolent stewardship, practical education, and community development of and for the breed.

Population
Thoughtfully grow the breed population by encouraging, supporting, and educating new & long-time breeders; supporting importing and foreign breeding efforts; and through cooperation with international Drent organizations.
Education
Create, collect, and distribute educational resources for prospective and current owners, enthusiasts, breeders, judges, and the public.
AKC Recognition
Pursue American Kennel Club Parent Club recognition of the ADPA and Miscellaneous Class recognition of the breed, capitalizing on the visibility and ubiquity of the AKC in America to benefit the breed's development.
Community
Sustainably build a supportive, cooperative, and enjoyable community of owners, enthusiasts, handlers, and breeders.
